January 29, 2008 Annual Dinner and State of the County Update
Blowing snow, gusty winds and frigid temperatures did not deter more than 300 people from attending the DCEDC Annual Dinner and Program on Tuesday, January 29, 2008.
Warmed by the traditional chili dinner the group networked as they toured the exhibits displayed in the DeKalb County Farm Bureau foyer by the evening’s sponsors.
The formal programs included a review of the year in Power Point format, an official membership meeting and a visual walk through of the County conducted by Doug Dashner, Interim Executive Director. This State of the County Update showcased development in all 14 county communities and proved that economic vitality is alive and well in DeKalb County.
At the conclusion of the program, the organization’s new Executive Director, Paul J. Borek, was introduced to the audience. Paul will begin his duties with DCEDC on February 4, 2008. For more information on Paul's appointment, Click Here.
