March 30, 2010 Annual Dinner and State of the County Update
In a rare turn of events, the weather at the Annual Dinner and State
of the County update on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 was spectacular.
Despite this distraction, the event drew 320 registrants for the
evening program at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau.
A record number of sponsors and exhibitors supported the event and
networking opportunities abounded both in the exhibit area and the
dining room where Premier Catering's pasta bar buffet proved to
be a big hit.
The formal program at 6 pm began as usual with the annual membership
meeting. A quick overview of 2009 activities, financial results
and election of officers and Board members followed. Then Paul Borek,
DCEDC Executive Director, took the stage and updated the audience
on 2009 Strategic Plan initiatives. He then took the audience on
a photographic tour of last year's DeKalb County expansion and development
activities.
